February 24, 2023Jerk seasoning is a delicious and versatile spice blend that can be used to add flavour to a variety of vegetarian dishes. Here is a recipe for jerk-spiced tofu that is both healthy and flavorful.
Ingredients:
- 1 block of firm tofu, pressed and sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
- 1/4 cup jerk seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix together the jerk seasoning, olive oil, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place the sliced tofu in a shallow dish and add the marinade. Use a brush or your hands to evenly coat the tofu with the marinade. Marinate the tofu for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the marinated tofu on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the tofu is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the tofu from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
